Refund policy

 

At PennyLayne, we want you to shop with confidence. If something isn’t quite right, eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.

Because many of our pieces are luxury and collectible items, all returns are carefully inspected prior to approval.


Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be returned within 30 days of delivery
  • All original packaging and included materials must be returned, including:
    • Dust bags
    • Authenticity cards
    • Gift boxes (if included)
    • Protective wrapping and inserts
  • Any protective plastic film or adhesive coverings on hardware must remain intact and unremoved
  • Security tags (if included) must remain attached and uncut
  • Items must show no signs of use or wear


Condition Standards

Returned items must arrive in the same condition they were originally shipped.

Returns may not be accepted for items showing signs of:

  • Scuffed corners or scratched hardware
  • Makeup, ink, perfume, or interior stains
  • Transfer marks or discoloration
  • Missing packaging or accessories
  • Removed protective film or cut security tags
  • Damage caused by improper packaging during return shipment


Packaging Your Return

To help preserve the structure and condition of the handbag:

  • Please return the item in its original shipping box or a box of similar size
  • Do not fold, flatten, or compress the bag during shipment
  • Keep the original paper stuffing inside the handbag to help maintain its shape during transit

We also recommend photographing the item before shipment for your records in case of carrier damage during transit.


Authentication & Inspection

All returned luxury items are subject to authentication and condition verification to help protect against counterfeit and “switch-and-return” fraud.

Please allow 3–5 business days after delivery to our warehouse for inspection and refund authorization.


Restocking Fee

A 10% restocking fee may apply to select high-value luxury handbags to help cover professional cleaning, handling, and re-authentication costs.


Refund Processing

Once your return has been approved and inspected, refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. Please allow additional processing time depending on your financial institution.


Non-Returnable Items

Returns may be denied if:

  • Security tags have been removed
  • Protective hardware film has been peeled
  • Original packaging or authenticity materials are missing
  • The item shows signs of wear or use
  • The item was damaged during return shipment due to improper packaging
